The Comfort, Play & Teach Centre™ was piloted during Kids ’ CBC Presents the Get Set for Life Tour 2006 in Partnership with Invest in Kids in cities across Canada and was met with overwhelming praise and enjoyment by thousands of parents and their children.

The Comfort, Play & Teach Centre™ was developed by Invest in Kids to bring to life the principles of Comfort, Play & Teach™, its research-based approach to positive parenting. This simple approach is built on everyday moments that are already part of a parent’s daily routine and shows the relationship between a parent’s behaviour and a child’s development. For example, when parents respond quickly and sensitively to their baby’s cries, their baby will feel loved and valued, an important element of that baby’s emotional development. With Comfort, Play & Teach™, parents can help their children reach their full potential.

Invest in Kids is a national charity dedicated to helping parents become the parents they want and need to be. By translating the science of parenting and child development into engaging, easy-to-understand, relevant resources for parents and professionals, Invest in Kids aims to strengthen the parenting knowledge, skills and confidence of all those who touch the lives of our youngest children to ensure the healthy social, emotional and intellectual development of children from birth to age five.

Kids' CBC is built upon the solid foundation Explore, Discover, Learn! All shows and hosted interstitials are designed to promote preschoolers’ developmental tendency to explore and discover their world, and to learn and grow as they do. Kids' CBC encourages children to think imaginatively and critically, take chances and approach life with enthusiasm, optimism and confidence. Its award-winning programming, while fun and entertaining, is above all else, beneficial to young children’s emotional, social and intellectual development. Kids' CBC lets children take the lead and explore their world, while feeling secure and confident enough to do so.

Invest in Kids and Kids’ CBC share a commitment to the well-being of young children and to providing parents with information and resources to make the most of their children’s first five years.

The 25th Milk International Children’s Festival of the Arts, sponsored by the Dairy Farmers of Canada, presents exceptional, inspiring performing arts to the young audiences, families, students, and teachers of Toronto and the surrounding regions.
