New Activity: Lemonade Stand

Your preschooler can pour make-believe lemonade for his dolls or make and enjoy real lemonade with friends. This simple Comfort, Play & Teach™ activity will encourage him to practice important social skills like sharing, taking turns and interacting with others!

You will need:
  • A small plastic pitcher
  • Water
  • Small paper cups
  • Dolls and stuffed animals

Enjoy this more with Comfort, Play & Teach™:

Comfort:

  • Pouring water for her dolls encourages your preschooler to share and to make sure that each of her dolls receives a drink, and that they receive equal amounts. She will also practice using polite terms like please and thank you.

Play:

  • Pretending to serve lemonade invites your preschooler to dramatize familiar experiences. With the right props, he can role-play cooking, going on a picnic, or even dining at a restaurant!

Teach:

  • Invite one or two of your child’s friends over to make lemonade together! They can measure and pour water, take turns stirring, and watch the frozen juice or drink crystals become lemonade. They will enjoy sharing it while they play!
