Pregnancy: What changes can I expect by trimester? |

- Menstruation to stop (any light spotting or bleeding should be checked by a doctor)
- Breast changes - fuller, tenderness, darkening of the nipple area
- Fatigue or feeling faint
- Bloated feeling
- Increased urination - needing to pee more frequently
- Increased vaginal discharge (any itchy; foul smelling; odd coloured discharge should be reported to your care provider)
- Nausea and/or vomiting
- Nasal congestion and nosebleeds
- Skin changes
- Changes in weight
- Mood swings
- Headaches
- Backache
- Braxton Hicks contractions - The sensation of the uterus tightening and relaxing, these may or may not be uncomfortable
- Breast changes - usually less tender and colostrum (precursor of breast milk) can be expressed
