Congratulations to Ernst & Young, our new Battle Cup champions!

Mother Nature tried her best to put a damper on the evening with the cold, dreary weather outside, but it was an entirely different feeling inside Kool Haus for the 17th annual Battle of the Brains.

It was a seesaw battle for the top spot all night, but in the end the brainiacs from Ernst & Young emerged victorious. Capital One A landed in second place, and only 27 points behind were the defending Battle Cup champs, Team Blakes.

Highlights of the night featured a welcome speech from the Hon. David Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and a delicious meal courtesy of Daniel et Daniel Catering.

Battle of the Brains is one of Canada’s most entertaining and interactive fundraisers. The event, which has been attracting Canada’s corporate elite for the past 16 years, sees many of Canada’s most prestigious companies facing off against each other in a game of mental gymnastics as they compete for the coveted Battle Cup.

A fun-filled evening of fast-paced trivia in categories from sports to music and literature to current events, Battle of the Brains is a blast! Kicking off with a cocktail reception and gourmet dinner, the highlight of the night is the game. Teams compete to answer multiple choice trivia questions in a variety of challenging categories – and with some teams starting to train the day after the last Battle ended there are some serious bragging rights at stake.
