By: Government of Canada
“Knowledge Matters" and "Achieving Excellence" are two reports created under Canada’s Innovation Strategy that focus on what Canada must do to ensure equality of opportunity and economic innovation in a knowledge-based economy and society. The "Knowledge Matters" report examines what needs to be done to strengthen skills and learning in Canada. "Achieving Excellence" focuses on how to reinforce our science and research capacity to ensure that knowledge contributes to building an innovative economy that benefits all Canadians.
These two reports offer a detailed analysis into the research surrounding the needs of Children and Families in Canada. Researchers and other professionals who work on the behalf of young children and their families will find the implications for improvement to the current programs and the analysis of current research systems useful and informative.
