Invest in Kids at Healthy Kids Expo

Come visit the Comfort, Play & Teach Centre™ from October 24th - 26th at the Direct Energy Centre

With the aim of connecting parents and kids to a healthy lifestyle, Healthy Kids Expo is a three day event that will feature a speaker series and 200+ exhibitors where adults and children alike will be entertained, educated and inspired to take action for making a difference towards a healthier body and a greener tomorrow.

The featured speaker is Dr. Mehmet Oz, Host of "Second Opinion with Dr. Oz" and a regular contributor on "The Oprah Winfrey Show", who will be speaking live and in person about: YOU: Raising Healthy Kids. The weekend is filled with a whole host of other speakers including CBC’s Wendy Mesley (Marketplace) and MP Olivia Chow.

The Comfort, Play & Teach Centre™: A Powerful Interactive Environment

The Comfort, Play & Teach Centre™ creates a physical environment that brings the framework and principles of Comfort, Play & Teach™ alive for parents and children. By participating in activities together, kids have fun and parents experience how simple, everyday moments can be used to fully support the healthy social, emotional and intellectual development of their child. The Comfort, Play & Teach Centre™ has 4 Activity Areas:

Sculpture Centre: Using large colourful MEGA Blocks and stackable building blocks, children design, build and piece together fabulous creations.

Reading Centre: With the help of their parents, children discover how words and pictures combine to make stories as they read together on comfy beanbag chairs.

Creative Centre: Using colourful crayons, children create wonderful works of art on a colouring table covered in craft paper.

Imaginative Play Centre: Children allow their imaginations to run free as they dress up in costumes and giggle at their reflections in fun mirrors.
