New Activity: Peek-a-Boo!

By playing games like Peek-a-boo, where you cover your face and then reveal it again, your baby begins to understand that people are still there, even when she can’t see them. She also begins to develop important social skills through time spent with you!

You will need:
  • 1 Chiffon scarf or face cloth

Enjoy this more with Comfort, Play & Teach™:

Comfort:

  • Adding fun games like peek-a-boo to daily routines helps your baby to feel reassured about what to expect at these times. She will enjoy this co-operative game and be thrilled to know you are still there when he sees your face!

Play:

  • During daily feeding and diapering routines, hide behind a cloth or bib, and then call out “Peek-a-boo!” when you show your face. These times become much more fun for you and your baby when they involve a game!

Teach:

  • Place a sheer chiffon scarf over your head and sit in front your baby. When he reaches out and pulls away the scarf, smile and say, “Peek-a-boo!” He will strengthen skills like reaching and grasping, and reasoning.
