Making a growth chart is a fun way for your child to notice special things about her own body. This simple Comfort, Play & Teach™ activity will give your child practice with measuring, counting and observing.
You will need:
- A long piece of paper
- A measuring tape
- A permanent marker
Instructions:
- Tape the paper to a wall making sure the bottom of the paper is touching the ground.
- Ask your child to stand with his back against the paper. Make a marking at the top of the head, to indicate his height. Remember to print the date the measurement was taken.
- Over time, measure your child again, noting changes and adding the date. Your child will enjoy observing how his body has changed over time.
